We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to provide strong financial support to our Business Insights (BI) Financial Control team, across the Building business on a full-time permanent basis. This specific role supports the National Finance Team.

As the Senior Finance Analyst, your unique contribution is to work collaboratively with the BI Building Lead (General Manager of Finance, GMF) to deliver financial reporting and decision support for the Building Business so that they can meet strategic, financial and operational effectiveness objectives.

In addition, your accountabilities will see you -
  • Delivering accurate and timely financial information and support to the CFO and GMF Building
  • Managing National Building Overheads, liaising with Functional leads to understand forecast assumptions, investigating material movements from plan and ensuring accuracy in half year and full year targets
  • Preparation and coordination of the Quarterly Business Reporting packs including review of functional and financial inputs
  • Preparing National Pipeline reporting packs detailing Building projects New Work Secured performance against targets, assisting the GMF and Executive Management Team to understand current portfolio performance and areas of focus for strategic decision making
  • Forecasting the Building Business's Bank Guarantees, liaising with the Assets and Projects Insights team to understand individual project assumptions, ultimately updating the Group Treasury team each quarter
  • Driving the costing, analysis and recharge processes across the Building Business for a handful of cost classes, providing insights for improved cost control and efficiency
  • Driving the successful delivery of finance optimisation initiatives across the Building Business including reporting, system and process improvement initiatives
  • Supporting the provision of robust financial control, solid technical accounting guidance and accurate and commercially insightful reporting
  • Maintaining effective relationships with Building Finance and Finance Services to optimise performance
  • Mentoring and guiding resources within the team


To see success, you will have -
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and CA or CPA qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years post CA / CPA qualification experience
  • Process improvement and optimisation mind set
  • Team player focussed on working collaboratively within and across teams
  • Experience in financial reporting, financial planning & analytics or a related field
  • High outcome orientation and drive as well as a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and analytical needs of the Australian Businesses
  • First class decision making and influencing skills
  • Leadership, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to adjust rapidly and frequently to new situations and assist others in adapting to change
  • Ability to deal confidently with finance and non-finance stakeholders
