Belmont Recruitment currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Finance Manager to join Wirral Council's Business Management, Finance & Investment Service on an initial 6 month temporary contract. This is a full time position, working 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday).
REMOTE BASED
As a Senior Finance Manager, your duties will include:
* Financial Modelling - taking into account rising demand in calculated / projected savings associated with programmes
* Technical Financial Support to Programmes - development of financial business cases
* Undertaking financial assessments of saving proposals to determine whether they are feasible and achievable
* Reviewing budgets / zero basing
* Producing business cases with benefits validated
* Challenging / influencing senior stakeholders when delivering on key projects and objectives
* Constructively challenging others when reviewing financial plans or working with stakeholders across various directorates
* Modelling and analysing risk management techniques in line with various reporting requirements
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of providing technical financial support in relation to the development of change programmes and the target operating models. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across a range of directorates including finance, programme management and organisational design.
