Based in north Cardiff, our client is looking for a Finance Manager for a 9 month fixed-term contract. The client provides the latest business data that companies and lenders can use to make informed credit decisions, worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who can supporting all aspects of the Finance Department and report to the Finance Director.
The role
This role is essential within the business, overseeing the finance department and being the key person for all day-to-day finance matters
Finance Manager responsibilities
Manage a team of accounts/payroll staff including performance management
Review Management Accounts and provide explanations for any cost variances
Assist in the production of annual accounts and the audit process
Review of weekly cash flows
Review of all balance sheet reconciliations
Produce Department/ Regionalised P&Ls and review with senior management
Calculation of bonuses
Review and approve payment runs and expenses
Review of monthly sales reconciliation
Monthly review of cost headers with department managers
Produce ad hoc reports
Produce monthly forecasts
Review and approve payroll
Assist in the budget setting process
Assisting departments in all financial aspects
Person specification
-Experienced finance manager
-Exceptional relationship-building ability
-Experience of managing a team
-Qualified accountant (CCAB)
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
-Self-motivated and naturally driven
-Attention to deal
