Are you seeking a varied and interesting Group accountancy role supporting multiple businesses within a highly successful Group?

Does your background incorporate manufacturing?We are seeking a Group Accountant with technical experience (IFRS) to be an integral part of the accountancy capability of a very successful group of Companies headquartered in Worcestershire.

With experience gained ideally within a manufacturing environment, you will control financial data ensuring its accuracy and completeness. Working with primary and subsidiary Companies finance teams, you will provide technical support and advice, ensuring compliance with group accounting policies.

Group Accounting:

Ensure the accuracy of group consolidation process and that all information is reported within the required time frames, including inter-company reconciliation process.
Support the Group Financial Controller in preparing the group financial statements and tax calculations
Maintain and develop the group consolidation software and group accounting manual
Support the audit process and production of published financial statements
Support group treasury requirements
Ensure all new accounting standards are analysed for impact on the group and implemented across all group companies, providing appropriate training and supportCompliance

Manage the statutory accounts process and corporation tax compliance process for relevant companies
Ensure that the group transfer pricing policy is maintained and applied for intra-group transactions, especially cross-border transactions
Maintain statutory registers and tax authorities reporting requirements
Support the administration of the pension schemeInternal audit

Develop and undertake internal audits of companies within the group to ensure compliance with group policies
Facilitate the use of best practice within each company Other

Full financial responsibility for appropriate subsidiary company
Provide cover to other parts of the finance function
Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the Group Financial Director and Group Financial Controller
Other duties commensurate with the skills and experience of the person in the rolePERSON:

Suitably qualified (ACA, ACCA preferred) with a technical bias and working knowledge of IFRS, this role would suit someone looking for a first (or second) move into industry, or someone with experience of working in a group head office function.

Solid IT skills with systems experience and good Excel skills.
