The Company

Robert Half has partnered with a Not-For-Profit Organisation that's in an urgent need for a IT Business Analyst to join their team. On offer is a 12 months Fixed Term contract with a view to get extended in their North-West Sydney Office and the promise of a fast-paced and fulfilling role.

The Role:
In this role you will be working across the following:
  • Ensures discussions about business needs and solutions, with the general user community, are framed in the context of benefits, outcomes, capabilities, and outputs, as well as risks and opportunities.
  • Ensures sufficient level of business requirements (capability, functional, solution) gathering activities are performed that are aligned with intended project benefits, outcomes, capabilities and outputs.
  • Ensure sufficient documentation are produced for the requirements, designs including business processes, flowcharts, procedures and solution configurations.
  • Ensures functional and technical specification and documentation are appropriate and sufficient to deliver the project, to be used by internal IT staff, third parties / consultants and other key stakeholders by adhering to minimum technical guidelines such as ITIL and by translating business requirements into technical specification.
  • Ensures optimum solution designs capture all business requirements by performing thorough analysis and engagement with the business and other key stakeholders at different levels in the organisation.
  • Ensures that processes associated with technology projects are analysed and mapped appropriately and that documentation is built with this analysis as its firm foundation.
  • Ensures that training documentation needs are met, by producing training plans and guides, quick reference guides, and any other documents required by project resources or end users.
  • Ensures that end users - with a wide range of technical capability - are able to use the product(s) being delivered, by providing technology training and coaching.
  • Ensures that systems can be supported by the Applications & Infrastructure Team, by providing comprehensive training to Help-desk and other technical support resources.


Your Profile:
  • 7+ year's experience in business and systems analysis experience in business applications and IT projects with a proven record in delivering successful projects.
  • Strong experience in business systems implementation and integration such as CRM, Finance and Payroll systems.
  • Experience in technology project implementation in various capacities.
  • Strong proven track record of stakeholder engagement, change management, communication and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate technical matters in a clear non-technical manner and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project teams.
  • Analytical skills and a practical approach to solving business problems.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and experience working with a small to medium size teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to deliver smaller projects from a one-man team and also work with a larger group on more complex projects.
