Your new company
This Colchester-based organisation are looking for a confident Finance Business Partner / Part-Qualified Accountant to support Head of Finance in developing partnerships with budget holders. This is an excellent opportunity to understand the financial operational needs of the business and budgeting setting etc.
Your new role
As the part-qualified Accountant / Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for working closely with budget holders in producing accurate budgets and forecasting. This will involve regular meetings with budget holders to get a better understanding of their financial needs / expectation as well as explaining variances on monthly management accounts. You will also work closely with the finance support team to ensure postings etc. are processed correctly and allocated to the correct cost-centres. You will also deal with monitoring capital spends, produce year-end statutory accounts and at all times looking to improve processes.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CIPFA) and have proven experience in preparing monthly management accounts, year-end reporting through to budgeting and forecasting. Further experience of capital finance and project-accounting would be advantage. As a Finance Business Partner we expect you to have excellent communication skills and able to present financial data to non-finance managers.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a competitive salary between £28,000 - £34,000 (depending on experience) and this role is currently home-based until further notice but we are confident there will be a hybrid working pattern next year. The organisation offers a flexible benefits package.
