Corporate Tax Manager (Remote/flexible working)

As a result of significant new client wins, this international firm are now looking for an ambitious Corporate Tax Manager to join their client-focused team in Glasgow. Working remotely or from their dynamic city centre office, this is a unique career opportunity for a technically-minded individual to work with a growing portfolio of clients ranging from mid-market to FTSE-listed groups from a diverse range of sectors.

As part of a client-focused team, you will take ownership of a client portfolio, ensuring tax compliance services are prepared to the highest standard and any queries or issues are resolved efficiently. You will oversee Assistant Managers, providing guidance and technical assistance to bolster the overall review process. You will also maintain strong relationships across local offices and support the wider success of the corporate tax practice. For more complex clients, you will act as key point of contact and obtain additional information to feedback to junior members of the team.

As the team continues to progress along its strategic pathway, you will identify advisory and business development opportunities resulting from your client portfolio. You will work to tackle these advisory tasks and pass on more comprehensive advisory projects to specialist colleagues.

You will be a professionally qualified Corporate Tax Manager (ATT/CTA/CA/ACA, or qualified by experience) or an ambitious Assistant Manager with demonstrable experience at review level. You will have strong tax technical knowledge, including UK GAAP tax accounting, share scheme, and basic transfer pricing. Experience of working with clients from banking sectors would be advantageous, but not essential. You will demonstrate excellent client relationship skills and a commitment to managing/coaching a talented team of ambitious individuals.
