Job Description
Direct Search Global is partnering with a leading shipping organisation to assist with their search for a Finance Director to be based in Singapore.
The ideal candidate will possess 12-15 years of experience in a financial controller capacity and background in a shipping environment would be an added advantage.
This position will be responsible for managing all financial activity with the aim of achieving financial targets whilst complying with the firm's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Function within the Management team to provide input on key financial decisions
- Strategize and ensure data accuracy in systems
- Overlook preparation of monthly performance and forecast reporting
- Present financial performance reviews to the Board
- Strategize and liaise with auditors to address any gaps or queries for audit findings
- Lead and strategize tax filings for all entities
Requirements:
- Professional qualification/accreditation in an accounting discipline
- 12 years in a financial controller or similar position
- 3-5 years in a similar leadership position
- Shipping background would be an added advantage
