Responsibilities of the Position:
Goal and Standards of Performance:Meeting annual, quarterly and monthly deadlines, compiles District and city-wide information for the annual state report of appropriation for the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration (NHDRA). Under the deadlines established by policy or statute, assists with the compilation and preparation of the Annual Financial Report of District financial activity. Assists in the preparation of the annual District budget process. Completes a monthly review of revenues, expenditures and salary information, and performs comparative analysis against the budget. Assists the Assistant Business Administrator with the daily operations and integrity of the Finance Computer Information Systems. On a daily basis, provides leadership and direction to the accounting technicians, including staff development related to computer systems training, accounting practices, and procedure development.
Assignments and Committees: As directed by the Administration.

- BS in Accounting or Business Management.
- Five years of progressively responsible accounting or public or private audit experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- CPA preferred.
- Extensive computer knowledge, including accounting and payroll programs, and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Working with approved budget and city department expenditures related to the District, allocate total budget numbers to appropriate grade levels, weighted by percentages.
- Research and compile estimated revenues for federal, state and local sources.
- Research and compile information for the Annual Financial Report, including the Statement of Revenue for the current year's cash receipts, the Statement of General Fund cash expenditures by function (elementary, middle and high), and the Special Revenue Funds.
- Research per pupil cost of elementary, middle and high schools and use that information to prepare the tuition calculation for Out of District Students for billing purposes.
- Work with Human Resources and Payroll to report and reconcile benefit information.
- Assist in the District budget process in association with principals, directors and the Board of School Committee (BOSC) Finance Committee.
- Assist the Treasurer to ensure timely payroll tax deposits
- Perform analysis and produce accounting reports of all general and program funds as required by the Chief Financial Officer or Superintendent.
- Assist in the annual audit process of all general, federal and state funds, including projects, grants, Medicaid and entitlements.
- Track all assets and liabilities and monitors all federal, state and department reimbursements.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned.
