Our client is a renowned international law firm with strong global presence and a highly prestigious client base. Known for its work in high profile cutting edge litigation cases and cross border transactions, and with its strong branding in legal services, this is a highly sought after employer brand.

A vacancy has now arisen for an experienced finance manager to join their Singapore office.

Job Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of the office's month and year-end closing
  • Perform monthly financial reports and carry out all accounting duties in accordance with local statutory requirements
  • Manage and develop junior team member in a wide range of functions from operational accounting to credit management and billing
  • Management reporting and analysis, being a business partner to division heads
  • Liaison with external auditors and assist in tax and other relevant filings
  • Ensure bills are managed and paid on a timely basis, review aged debts and chase remittance
  • Manage accounts payable and settle inter-company charges
  • Liaise with overseas offices from time to time and external advisors and clients
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and ensuring all accounts daily are in credit, review and prepare various reconciliation
  • Familiar with all accounting rules in accordance with (England & Wales) SRA & Singapore Law Society regulations
  • Ad hoc projects assigned by Financial Controller / Directors

Requirements:

  • Degree Holder or above in Accounting
  • CPA Qualified (or equivalent) Accountant
  • At least 7 years of relevant working experience, ideally in a reputable law firm in Singapore
  • Minimum 3 years' experience of handling full sets of accounts
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, practices and ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident in dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), highly proficient with the full suite of MS Office programmes
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, and in a fast paced environment
  • Immediately available is an advantage
