One year fixed term contract

Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is an acute general hospital serving South West London and Surrey, providing a range of high quality services to a local population of 350,000. The Trust requires a highly motivated, reliable and flexible Financial and Systems Accountant to work as a key member of the Finance Department.

The post holder will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise their own workload, whilst working as part of a busy team. They should have experience of managing computerised financial ledger systems, preferably Integra 2, and will have strong IT skills including Excel and other Microsoft Office products. Responsible for maintaining and developing the Trust's financial systems, they will play a key role in month and year end ledger closedown, ensuring procedures and controls are effective and for reporting. Experience of working in a financial environment is essential, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels in a friendly and helpful manner. Progress towards an accounting qualification will be required and previous NHS experience advantageous.
