Role: Deputy Financial Controller Contract Length: 9 months Location: Leeds / Home working IR35: In scope Day rate: up to £282 PAYE or £382.97 Umbrella
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Financial Controller to join a leading health care provider.
Key Responsibilities: This is a key leadership role in the Financial Control & Operations team, with particular responsibility for Fixed Assets, Income, statutory accounts and audit. You will be accountable for managing the Fixed Assets team, supporting the experienced team of three staff during a particularly busy and complex year; capital expenditure is expected to be in excess of £100m, building on the £200m of assets already held. The organisation primarily builds large complex IT systems to support the health and care system, using a mix of in-house and external resources. You will provide oversight and management support to the Fixed Asset team, advising and resolving issues, ensuring completeness of asset reviews and robust reconciliations, and that all audit recommendations have been implemented.
The successful candidate: Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent NHS / Public sector industry experience Experience of preparation of statutory accounts, accounting for fixed assets, income recognition - accounting for services experience Experience preparing accounts to IFRS standards Excellent budgetary controls expertise Strong analytical skills Exceptional IT systems knowledge and experience
