Your new company
Due to some internal promotion, our client, a local government agency, is currently looking for a personable accounting manager to join their finance team.

Your new role
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Operation Accounting Manager, you will manage a team of 8 staff and:
  • Ensure all external statutory reporting including the preparation of the financial statements, GST and FBT returns are correct;
  • Review the accounting standards;
  • Manage the month end and year end processes;
  • Oversee the procurement and AP activities;
  • Monitor the investment portfolio, investment policy and strategy and
  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of experienced finance professionals.

What you'll need to succeed
You have full working rights in Australia, are immediately available to start work in Sydney and you:
  • Are CA/CPA qualified and ideally big 4 trained;
  • Have 5+ years experience in financial accounting working under the new accounting standard;
  • Hold outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Are positive, dynamic and have led teams of 4+ people.
