Finance Manager - German speaker

A fantastic opportunity working for a rapidly growing broker has arisen. This is a 3 month contract whilst the business source for a permanent member of staff in Germany. Due to current conditions this will be a remote working role for the duration of the contract.

Reporting into the Head of Finance you will be an integral part of the business as they look to set up their presence across Europe and in particular Germany. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the German finance function. This will cover a full suite of elements including the accounting and reporting functions on the entity. As well as the day to day tasks you will also be expected to be a key driver of finance transformation and streamlining of processes. Duties will include but not be limited to the below

• Maintaining a high standard of Financial Control
• Daily reconciliations
• Implementation of process improvements
• Provide detailed and insightful MI via the production of Management Reporting packs
• Preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecast
• Preparation of the annual statutory accounts
• Compliance of regulations and monitoring of capital requirements

You will need to be a qualified accountant with an extensive background in Financial Services. It is also imperative that you are fluent in German and can demonstrate a strong understanding of German GAAP.
