Traineeship Description
DBS Group Audit prides itself with the use of data analytics and digital applications in enhancing audit effectiveness and efficiency. To that end, the Group Audit Data Analytics team is responsible for enabling data analytics and digital capabilities which helps auditors across different markets uncover or predict risk events and control weakness, and embed them into the End to End Auditing Journey. DBS Group Audit is looking for a Data Analyst to supplement the existing team in the implementation of the Dynamic Risk Assessment.
Function
Data Analytics
Responsibilities
1. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to gather and appreciate requirements or reported issues
2. Be part of the team to analyse business requirements and jointly propose recommendations / solutions
3. Contribute to the development of rule-based analytics and/or machine learning models where applicable; and develop dashboards for effective visualisation
4. Work closely with users and technology counterparts throughout the implementation lifecycle (e.g. supporting the various quality assurance phases)
5. Support the team in executing the change management activities to drive application adoption rate and user satisfaction
6. Appreciate banking processes and technology standards
Competencies to learn
Competencies Trainee will learn during SGUnited Traineeship Programme
1. Analytics lifecycle - hypothesis ideation, data acquisition, feature engineering, back-testing and deploy for use
2. Agile project delivery in a banking environment
3. Change management
4. Banking industry knowledge
The Trainees will have exposure to the following functional areas:.
1. Data analytics and data science
2. Banking industry knowledge
3. Risk and governance
4. Agile delivery
5. Technology implementation
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT
Data-oriented personality
Prior experience in data analytics work is a plus
Experience with data visualisation tools, such as PowerBI, Qlikview or Tableau
Good scripting and programming skills (Python, Java, Spark, SQL…)
Great communication skills and presentation skills in English
Taste for working in teams, self-starter
Experience working in multi-cultural environments
