General management of the Commercial Finance Team

My client are a leading organisation in the retail and FMCG industry. With their impressive and newly-built head offices based in the heart of Bedford, they are on the hunt for an experienced, driven and sharp individual to join their team as the Commercial Finance Manager. This role would be best suited for an experienced Finance Manager or a senior Management Accountant at finalist level who is looking to take on a new challenge.

Description

Key responsibilities for the Commercial Finance Manager in Bedford include:

• Managing the monthly accounts
• Supporting and running the year-end processes
• Communicating with stakeholders and directors where necessary
• Analysis and monitoring of daily and weekly KPIs
• Supporting system implementations and improvements where necessary
• Working closely with and reporting to the Financial Controller
• Overseeing the transactional functions: Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Credit Control, Payroll
• Looking after the fixed assets

Profile

The successful candidate for the Commercial Finance Manager will:

• Part-Qualified ideally at finalist level (CIMA/ACCA)
• 4+ years Accounting experience
• Ideally have experience managing a team
• Ideally have a commercial background
• Excellent IT skills, including intermediate Excel
• Be switched on, committed and driven to achieving their goals
• Be extremely organised
• Have excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Have excellent communication skills
