The opportunity to join as an Accounts Assistant - Temp to Perm in a role offering fantastic exposure in a varied role. This role will involve training however does need someone with a good grounding with the ability to assist across varying sectors of the company.

Client Details

A reputable business that is fast growing and looking to bring on a talented individual as an Accounts Assistant - Temp to Perm. With sites across the UK, this role will involve some occasional travel to be able to work with on site functions and requires someone that is able to build relationships and communicate effectively. With further planned growth, there is room to gain valuable experience in this role over time for the right candidate. Based initially in Huntingdon, the role is ideal for anyone located either in Huntingdon, Cambridge or Peterborough.

Description

The Accounts Assistant - Temp to Perm duties and responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of parts of the Purchase and Sales Ledger and managing the company ledgers
  • Processing and Raising Invoices using Xero
  • Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
  • Completing bank reconciliations, including entry of payments and receipts of sales - Monthly
  • Processing journals and assisting with month end procedures
  • Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
  • Assisting with Financial Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Support the Finance lead during Annual Audit
  • Credit Control - chasing debt to maintain debt ledger as and when required
  • Weekly cash and credit card reconciliations to identify any variances
  • Assisting the Payroll team as and when needed
  • Processing expenses
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required by the Line Manager






Profile

Desired experience and skill set for this Accounts Assistant - Temp to Perm role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Be immediately available or have a relatively short notice period (1 Week)
  • Part Qualified in either ACCA/CIMA/ACA or AAT Qualified
  • Previous experience of working in a similar commercial fast paced environment
  • Capable of working using own initiative to anticipate and resolve issues
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Highly analytical and numerate
  • Locally based in Huntingdon with your own transport
  • Strong Excel skills to include pivot tables and VLOOKUPS - Xero experience preferred
  • Flexible team player
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a busy environment to strict deadlines
  • Desire to improve processes and commit to the role for the next 2-3 years, growing within the position
