A highly regarded and growing chartered accountancy practice is searching for a full or part time Bookkeeper to join their successful team based in Maidstone, with occasional travel to clients. You will undertake bookkeeping, management accounts, vat returns, and other service provision to a mixed and varied client base. You will carve a key role here, adding value to clients and building relationships, within a growing team and firm.

Description
Joining the firm, as a Bookkeeper, based from their Maidstone offices, you will carve a key, hands on role here working with a handful of sole trader, partnerships and limited company clients across varying industries and turnovers undertaking the following responsibilities.
- Bookkeeping, VAT returns and Management Account service provision
- Account reconciliations
- Purchase and Sales Ledger Processes
- Year End adjustments up to Trial Balance stage
- Opening balance adjustment
- Journals
- Converting new clients from existing systems
- Working on cloud accounting software and other systems such as Sage, Xero
- Payroll
You will be required to travel to clients premises occasionally up to 45 minutes away. SE London, Medway etc.
Profile
You may be AAT qualified or CIMA part qualified but if supported by a relevant career history and technical skill set, a strong, relevant, experienced background only, is equally of interest, as well.
You will have anything from 3-5 years, or significantly more experience within accountancy practice ideally with demonstrable experience of delivering bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts services. Or you could be a self-employed bookkeeper seeking the stability of a permanent employed position.
Full time as well as part time working arrangements can be explored with the right candidate.
Job Offer
£25,000 - £30,000 dependent on the background and experience of the right professional.
