Grade 8: £41,526 - £49,553 per annum pro rata There are four key strands to the role:

  • The postholder will act as Secretary to the Conflict of Interest Committee and undertake associated policy, project and compliance work.
  • The postholder will act as Secretary to the Committee to Review Donations and Research Funding and undertake associated policy, project and compliance work.
  • The postholder will support the University's Head of Risk, Compliance and Assurance in ensuring that the University has adequate and effective risk management, compliance and assurance procedures in place.
  • The postholder will undertake projects in areas aligned to the tasks at (i)-(iii).
  • It is envisaged that initially c.50% of the role's time will be focused on the first 2 strands, with the remaining 50% focused on the 3rd strand. However, this is an evolving area of responsibility; accordingly the postholder will need to be comfortable with an evolving remit, allowing the role to be shaped to suit organisational needs and the postholder's skills, experience and interests.

    As the successful applicant you should be able to clearly demonstrate:

    • Recent significant experience of working in a similar role at a senior level in a large and complex organisation

    • Excellent knowledge of core compliance topics including bribery and corruption, sanctions and anti-trust

    • Excellent knowledge of risk management and assurance

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Excellent ability to work collaboratively and influence people at all levels (both internal and external to the organisation)

    • A flexible and creative approach to identify practical solutions to complex problems • Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
