Senior Cost Accountant

Mission/Summary:

The Senior Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst provides assistance in the interpretation of financial information and ensures accurate financial results primarily in the area of Inventory.

Key Responsibilities (job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following):

• Perform monthly inventory of Raw Materials
• Reconcile consignment Inventory
• Perform monthly costing in SAP
• Provide weekly and monthly Inventory & Production reports
• Monthly accounting of Utilities
• Maintain Fixed Assets Ledger
• Review Freight Payables
• Perform month end GL Reconciliations
• Provide customer pricing for new products and routinely update for existing products
• Perform analysis and project work as necessary.
• Assist with annual budgeting process as necessary

Background/Experience

• 3 years minimum accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with an ERP system (preferably SAP).
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, advanced level of Excel.
• Experience with standard costing

Education/Knowledge

• BA or BS in Accounting required
