Job Description
Stryker's Finance Centers of Excellence (CoE) are located across three regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia). Each is responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient delivery of accounting and financial reporting for the regions they service. The Americas CoE is the primary location and owner of all Global Finance processes, governance and systems across the regions.
This Leader will oversee the global governance for intercompany accounting activities, including the development and implementation of strategies to standardize and simplify intercompany accounting. Additionally, this Leader will oversee the execution of global intercompany eliminations and reconciliations, as well as drive oversight and issue resolution of aged balances. This Leader will also champion future deployments of Blackline Intercompany Hub that will enable improved intercompany processes.

What you will do
- Leads the global Intercompany Accounting Governance team.
- Oversight of the global intercompany accounting governance framework, including driving resolution for intercompany out of balances and aged reconciled items.
- Leads the future implementations of Blackline Intercompany Hub.
- Set guiding policies around intercompany processes globally as well as oversee the proper adherence to these policies across the organization.
- Prepares presentations and provides critical inputs for various meetings and discussions with senior management (e.g., FLT)
- Ownership of intercompany trading lanes compliance.
- Leads the Intercompany Accounting Governance employees; identify and manage employees, educate and empower them, and determine changes in team structural needs over time
- Fosters a culture focused on all aspects of employee development, including the oversight of goal setting, sharing of best practices, workload balancing, teambuilding and professional development.
- Actively engages with Stryker's SAP global implementation program leadership team.
- Partners and collaborates with global accounting teams to drive harmonized best practice processes across all divisions and geographies.
- Participates in M&A activities to assess the impact of intercompany accounting on the integration process.
- Review the performance of current Intercompany processes to identify key gaps and deficiencies in the process, as well as develop and implement improvements.
- Leverage process automation experience in Intercompany to integrate other functions with RPA and process improvement technologies
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- 10 years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience at a multi-national company
