DOF is expanding the team and now seeking to engage a suitably and well experienced Tax Professional to join our highly experienced team by contributing and help deliver in-time Tax advice and support to the APAC regional operations.

This job is also advertised in Australia and can be based in either location, depending on preferred candidate.

Requirements

The purpose of this role is to assist and support the DOF Subsea Group's tax function, covering multiple jurisdictions within the Asia Pacific region, by providing accurate, high quality and timely tax advice and support on a broad range of tax matters, including tax risk assessments in the areas of Corporate, Employment and Indirect taxes, across the region.

Being part of a very small team, this role will suit a person who has a 'hands on' approach and enjoys the variety of a broad range of tax matters and who is engaged by the various challenges arising from supporting for a Global company in a regional context across multiple areas of tax. Your solid understanding of tax concepts gained in either Employment or Corporate tax roles, will be critical to succeeding in this role.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role includes:
  • Ensure the DOF entities in the Asia Pacific Region meet their compliance obligations relating to its mobile workforce, e.g. employment tax, payroll tax, pensions and other;
  • Prepare income tax computations and filing for all regional DOF Subsea entities,
  • Assist with statutory reporting disclosures and Transfer pricing for the APAC group of entities
  • Review of FBT data collection process and recommendation for improvement in the process.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
  • Tertiary degree qualified with either CA or CPA certification
  • 2-3+ years of Corporate / Employment tax experience from working in an MNC/Accounting environment or equivalent tax function
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills / ability to work with people of various professional, cultural backgrounds.
  • Self- motivated contributor, with an appreciation for continuous improvement and embracing simplification of systems and process for tax reporting and overall compliance
