Our Edmonton client is looking for a versatile designated accountant for a one-year contract. Reporting to the Manager Reporting and Plann ing, the financial analyst will be involved with:
- Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting (Excel based)
- Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) including process mapping
- Investment accounting
- Month end close procedures including variance analysis
- Other ad hoc projects
The ideal candidate is/has:
- A professional accounting designation
- Strong computer skills including Excel (pivot tables, sumif and lookups)
- Good communication skills (e.g. working with business units in mapping processes)
- Naturally curious
- Enjoys variety
- The ability to work independently
