Summary:The Finance Director is responsible for providing leadership, management, and coordination of Husky's financial function including financial planning and analysis, reporting, forecasting and budget management. Responsible for directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to the general ledger, receivables, payables and financial reporting, as well as banking, cash management, and the administration of company credit agreements. The Finance Director will play a visible and important role in reporting the financial performance of Husky to the board of directors and shareholders. Responsible on Husky start–up to develop and implement financial systems and controls that will govern the financial activities of the company.Responsibilities:Participate in the development of Husky's strategic plans and programs as a trusted business partner.Establish creditability with senior management as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting Husky through financial analysis.Take a leadership role in key commercial projects and other strategic transactions.Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support Husky growth needs.Oversee and implement the transition and enhancement of Husky's financial processes, systems, and tools including the migration from Microsoft Dynamics to Oracle R12 platform.Responsible for analyzing Husky's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance.Work with other members of Husky to meet monthly and annual forecasting, budgeting and reporting deadlines internally and externally in line with management, board of directors, and shareholder requirements.Meet budget requirements by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.Prepare company ad hoc financial analyses to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements.Develop, maintain, and update the long–term strategic financial model for Husky.Partner with operational staff to monitor, review and analyze operational cost activities for the company.Provide leadership guidance in rate renewals and provide financial analysis support to guide the administration and negotiation of customer contracts.Ensure regular communication with staff, peers, and leadership consistent with our company values.Develop and coordinate banking relationships and ensure compliance with company credit agreements and credit reporting requirements.Leads external audit coordination for Husky.Maintain compliance with all accounting policies and systems, ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with standard accounting principles.Manage external shared services support and other vendor services (payroll) as required.Ensure all financial compliance regulations are being adhered to as required by federal, state and local rules and regulations.Oversee the daily operations of the finance and accounting department providing coaching and support consistent with our company values.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent from an accredited university.Professional accounting designation desired.7+ years progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance.Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Knowledge of statutory accounting principles.Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.Experience with major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting.Knowledge/Experience with Oracle financial systems a plus.Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, with strong analytical and accounting skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Team player/leader within the senior management groupWillingness to make decisions and consistently exhibits sound and accurate judgment and makes timely decisions.Analytical skills with demonstrated ability to work with complex financial information and concepts.Communication skills within the financial community and with non–financial employees.Working Conditions:Terminal access requires awareness of hazardsComputer OperationNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all–inclusive.
