Job Description SummaryAs a Finance Director working for Taylor Morrison you will be responsible for Division's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Will assist in creating functional strategies and specific objectives for the departments and develop budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.Job DetailsWe trust that as a Finance Director you will: (responsibilities) Ensure that accounting, control, audit and administrative duties are performed effectively and efficientlyManage monthly financial close processEnsure that financial information is accurately developed, analyzed and reported to managementEnsure forecasts, projection and budgets are prepared timely and accuratelyOversee the financial underwriting process for new community investment opportunitiesManage, motivate and develop Financial and Administrative staffEnsure that corporate financial policies and procedures are adhered toEnsure that all corporate reports are submitted accurately and timelyAssists in the management of information system issues and concernsProvide financial assistance to all functional areas as neededYou are willing to perform other duties as assignedWhat you will need: (competencies, behaviors & attributes)Business AcumenCustomer FocusDeveloping Direct Reports and OthersDrive for ResultsPriority SettingSelf–KnowledgeAbout you: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Accounting degree highly preferred)Five to seven years in Finance/AccountingExcellent computer skillsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferredCredit report in good standingFLSA Status: ExemptWill have responsibilities such as:Interviewing, selecting, and training employees;Setting rates of pay and hours of work;Appraising productivity; handling employee grievances or complaints, or disciplining employees;Determining work techniques;Planning the work;Apportioning work among employees;Determining the types of equipment to be used in performing work, or materials needed;Planning budgets for work;Monitoring work for legal or regulatory compliance;Providing for safety and security of the workplaceEssential Functions:Successful job applicants will be able to perform these functions.
