Assistant Commercial Finance Analyst required on a 6 month fixed term contract in Keynsham, Bristol. The Role
This role works closely with the Head of Commercial Finance and Reporting, Operational teams and our surgeries to proactively identify issues and opportunities to drive the profitability and efficiency of the group. You will carry out detailed forensic analysis of all site profit and loss accounts to identify issues and opportunities, then with the Head of Commercial Finance, drive through actions and resolutions. You will ensure that all key financial issues are highlighted and discussed with clear actions to resolve, and work with the Management Accounting team to deliver accounts to the required standard and accuracy. This role also assists with bonus calculations, stock reconciliations, salary analysis, reporting on Pet Health Club, and training surgeries on financial systems, reporting and techniques. About Us

Role Requirements
What are we looking for?
- Previous commercial finance and analytical experience
- Degree level educated, ideally training towards a professional accounting qualification (desirable)
- Thrives in a constantly changing environment - flexibility is key
- Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel, proficiency in PowerPoint and various management reporting systems
- Attention to detail, whilst able to step back and analyse overall results
- Deadline-focused
- Comfortable working with varying stakeholder personalities where compassion is a requirement
- Strong influencing skills, delivered in a compassionate manner
- Ability to lone work without supervision
- Experience of Open Accounts, financial modelling, creating macros and/or multi-site accounting would be an advantage
