Public Sector External Audit Manager or Senior Manager - Top 10 Firm - LIVERPOOL OR MANCHESTER

Description:
Due to continued growth and success, a top tier International accountancy practice is expanding their Public Sector Audit Team in the North West and is looking to recruit a Public Sector External Audit Manager or Senior Manager to lead their growing team.

Joining a large and thriving department, you will play a key part in safeguarding public money and making sure that vital public services are properly accountable to taxpayers.

Working across a range of public bodies including local authorities, NHS and fire services, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing audit teams and acting as key point of contact to clients. You will act as a trusted business advisor, striving to build and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues and clients.
• Assisting audit partners in establishing audit approach, reviewing working papers and ensuring audit files are completed in a timely manner.
• You will have the opportunity to take on wider department responsibilities such as business development, recruitment or people management

Essential Requirements:
ACA / ACCA / ICAS / CIPFA qualified with experience at management level within public sector external audit, including dealing with complex technical matters. Knowledge of IFRS would be beneficial.
