In this Staff Accountant role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll be interested in this position if you want to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Your responsibilities in this role

- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

- Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

- Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

- Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

- Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

- Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

- Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

- Partake in various department-wide initiatives

- Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

- Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

Requirements

- The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Cash reconciliations experience preferred

- Deep understanding of Excel Formulas

- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- Recent and relevant accounting experience

- Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Great attention to detail

- Competent with spreadsheets and databases

- Spreadsheet and database capabilities

- ERP system experience
