The Oracle Product Development CX Center of Excellence team is currently seeking a Business System Analyst to support the team and larger organization in providing key customer data points, identifying areas of concern, and delivering recommendations for corrective action.

As a Business Systems Analyst/Program Coordinator on the Product Development CX CoE team, the ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical and business background with solid experience working with customer data in a technology industry. The candidate will provide quantitative support, user/product/operations understanding and a strategic perspective to multiple teams within the CX Sales Cloud and B2B Service CoE team. The candidate will be seen as the analytics experts for our products, services, and operations, delivering insightful data and translating it into meaningful interpretations and strategic recommendations.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Conduct in-depth investigations leveraging large and complex data sets from multiple internal and external sources (e.g. tickets/SRs, adoption, defects, enhancements, trends) and provide insights that will drive strategic business decisions.
  • Develop compelling analyses to execute data-informed initiatives that helps improve our engagement with customers, productivity and quality at scale.
  • Build/maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics that equips the CoE organization to take appropriate customer related actions.
  • Build prototypes of analytical tools to help scale the reporting of account insights.
  • Drive operational excellence that supports cross functional partners, and ensure the smooth running of weekly, monthly and quarterly business rhythms.
  • Focus on process and continuous improvement of core metrics through automation and process enhancement.
  • Partner with different teams such as Product Management, Development, Services, and Operations to obtain the necessary data and provide detailed analysis to CoE team.
  • Inform, influence, and recommend new strategies and tactics using analysis and impact metrics to support your positions.
  • Adept in building advanced SQL/BI queries and dashboards.
  • Ability to promote a collaborative environment and drive a positive outcome in difficult situations.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or a related field).
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in Business Analytics, Sales Analytics, Sales Finance, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy consulting, preferably in the software industry.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving experience with experience providing actionable business insights and recommendations data and fact-based.
  • Demonstrated experience in storytelling with data.
  • Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify; devise a plan to correct data sources and ensure reporting is accurate.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders and partners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to articulate issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in MS Office products with 5+ years in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Adaptable with demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Prefer candidate with solid understanding of the customer renewal process specifically in the unique context of SaaS products.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 5 plus years relevant work experience.
