POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regulatory Reporting Team at TIAA is responsible for management and regulatory reporting for the Company. This role is responsible for managing various regulatory reporting initiatives including Federal Reserve, U.S. Treasury, Bureau of Economic Analysis and other internal and external reporting related matters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Manage team of accounting professionals to complete various regulatory
reporting and related items including:
Relevant Federal Reserve Bank corporate level reporting for TIAA
Identified U.S. Treasury reports for aggregated TIAA and subsidiaries
Applicable Bureau of Economic Analysis reports including the Department of
Commerce, U.S. Census Bureau and others
Any other pertinent internal or external reporting
Provide direction to team for related daily operating activities.
Oversee relevant internal reporting to senior management and/or TIAA Board,
Audit Committee, etc.
Collaborate with business partners across the organization to ensure
compliance.
Facilitate operating expense accruals and other periodic reporting
responsibilities.
Keep abreast of all new regulatory reporting requirements to ensure
compliance and support and/or participate in various industry working groups.
Other departmental duties as identified.
Required:
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting
8 plus years of accounting work experience
Experience with financial or regulatory reporting for large insurance or other
financial servicesentities
2 plus years managing people
Preferred:
Certified Public Accountant
Public accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and major reporting systems, such as
PeopleSoft, Hyperion Financial Management and Workiva
Experience with insurance and bank-holding entity regulatory reporting, along
with specific knowledge of Federal Reserve Bank, U.S. Treasury, Bureau of
Economic Analysis filings.
Exceptional leadership, communication and writing skills
Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills
