Location - Croydon and Wembley/ East London (E14)

Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are looking for two Management Accountants for Greater London who will be responsible for monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets for multiple commercial waste operations.

The successful candidates will work with all operational teams providing excellent support in identifying opportunities for continuous business improvement and service optimisation.

Develop and maintain productive working relationships with both external and internal customers to ensure the company's image, reputation and achievements are represented to maximum effect.

What you'll do

Main duties will include :

• Production of monthly management accounts delivered to tight deadlines together with sound analysis and investigation of underlying reasons for variances for multiple operational units.
• Regular site visits and interaction with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and support to business development is achieved.
• Provide support to business operations in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Completion of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis and ensuring stringent controls are in place.

• Interaction with key sales staff to analyse commercial tenders and margin analysis.

• Analysis of fixed asset register and preparation of any business cases.
• Provide support to annual audit processes.
• Carry out any ad hoc project work as is necessary to support the business objectives.

The experience you will need

Requirements :

• Experienced in waste industry commercial management accounts
• A recognised accountancy qualification (i.e. CIMA/ACCA/ACA)

• Advanced spreadsheet skills - ideally knowledge of Google Sheets in addition to Microsoft Excel
• Budgeting, forecasting, budgetary control and reporting experience
• Strong business partnering skills, Financial problem solving and analysis skills, Organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines, Accuracy and attention to detail; methodical worker

Desirable :

• Experience of SAP/Work Day/ Cognos
• Previous financial experience gained within a Haulage/ Environmental waste services company
