Schools Policy on the Recruitment of Ex-Offenders
We will always put students at the centre of everything we do. We are proud of our reputation as a student centred learning community. At Royds, every learner is an individual with a distinctive personality and characteristics.
Royds is a happy and vibrant place to work; 'staff morale is high'. (Ofsted 2018). We place significant emphasis on staff development and collaborative partnerships to ensure what goes on in our classrooms is as good as it can be.
From 1 April 2021, Royds School will covert to an academy, joining Falcon Education Academies Trust. This new academy trust was established to take on and turn around schools and academies in the north of England with a history of under-performance. Building on existing good practice at Royds and drawing upon the expertise of our trustees and senior leaders, who have proven track records in improving schools in very challenging circumstances, Falcon aims to secure immediate and sustainable improvement at Royds.
Completed application forms to be returned to the school by post or email to: Royds School, Pennington Lane, Oulton, Leeds LS26 8EX or awhiteley@roydsschool.org
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The details of the DBS Code of Conduct can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dbs-code-of-practice. We promote diversity and want a workforce which reflects the population of Leeds.
