Audit and Compliance Advisor, NWPA

North Western Program Alliance consists of four partners, working as 'one team' collocated in the Alliance's head and project offices. NWPA has a proven track record with the completion of four level crossing removal projects, a Premium station rebuild and 3 projects currently in delivery.

We are currently looking for an experienced Audit and Compliance Advisor to join the team

As Audit and Compliance Advisor you will be primarily responsible for overseeing the coordination and management of the quality surveillance, inspection and auditing program. Inclusive of all internal and second party external audits, to ensure a systematic and disciplined approach to Project Governance and Compliance requirements

Responsibilities of the role include;
- Develop and implement audit, surveillance and inspections procedure ensuring compliance with Project requirements.
- Coordinate and support the full audit cycle ensuring audits are appropriately scheduled, relevant stakeholders are included, audit reports communicated, and actions are addressed and closed out
- Determine internal audit scope and develop 3 week lookahead as well as annual plans
- Prepare performance reports that reflect audit's results and provide root cause analysis
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
- Track, monitor and report to Quality and Compliance Manager audit actions
- Contribute to improving internal processes and protocols for compliance activities and wider business processes where appropriate
- Support Governance team with administrative tasks including roll out and tracking of mandatory training
- Conduct follow up audits to monitor effectiveness of closed audit actions as required
- Liaison with Procurement, Commercial, Environment / Sustainability teams to plan and undertake audits of suppliers and subcontractors engaged / proposed to be engaged on the alliance.
- Coordinate quality surveillance activities across the Alliance. Process surveillance reports, raise actions and coordinate the close out the actions (OFI's) raised.
- Liaison with the Senior Quality Engineers to provide visibility through actions, attend the project Quality and Completions meetings and report status of Surveillance, inspections, identified issues and trends [repeated observations and NCR's]
- Attend subcontractor and supplier kick off meetings to ensure that the quality documentation such as inspection and audits schedules, ITP's, fabrication programme, hold and witness points are obtained and reviewed for compliance prior to commencing works on site.

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you demonstrate the following;
- Advanced Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building, Construction, Business, Quality Management or Project Management OR significant experience of 5+ years in the construction industry.
- Lead auditor
- Construction Industry Card
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role
