About the role

The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Controls Assurance to establish and drive a mature risk and controls assurance first line management function, supporting the end to end risk and compliance management process across Advice, Super and Bank within AMP Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Documenting control test plans and methodologies for controls across advice, super and bank with consideration of the business operations, processes and risks.
  • Conducting periodic testing of the design and operating effectiveness of controls through conducting walk-throughs with the business and review of documentation.
  • Developing observations and formulating recommendations to enhance the control environment.
  • Conducting thematic reviews and deep dives across key high priority areas and risks.
  • Detailed documentation of control testing and outcomes within the GRC systems.
  • Reviewing the control environment to identify opportunities for optimisation.

Capabilities & Experience
  • Analyst, Controls Assurance is expected to have competencies for the role and experience (3-5 yrs) in financial services and/or assurance knowledge in order to effectively and efficiently design and execute controls testing plans
  • Experienced at facilitating walk through meetings and presenting information and solutions to business and control owners
  • Experienced in stakeholder management experience and influencing skills
  • Financial Services experience in Audit practice or industry (desirable)
  • Relevant industry and other professional qualifications, e.g. CA, CISA, CIA, CFA, FRM, MBA (desirable).
