Your role

Reporting to, and receiving the full support of executive leadership, you will be responsible for owning this hands-on Financial Controller role.

You will ensure that your new employer meets all of their statutory and reporting requirements, play a pivotal role in reviewing budgets, cash flow, business plans, P&L, annual reports as well as balance sheet and company accounts.

Your relationship with senior leadership will be crucial to your success as you support them with the preparation of monthly and annual accounts, as well being involved tax reporting and compliance requirements.

In addition, you will be heavily involved in crucial projects including enabling the company to move from CapEx to OpEx, as well being proactive in creating and implementing efficiencies to processes and systems.

You will liaise with overseas teams so an ability to manage from a distance with a good appreciation of international business ethics is crucial.

About you

You will be a qualified accountant (CPA / CA) who is looking to move into a challenging and rewarding position. You will a hands-on individual who works efficiently and accurately with a great sense of pride in your achievements. You will be very much into the detail, with a track record of providing exceptional results.

Your experience will include having previously worked in complex organisations, dealing with multiple entities as well as having the business acumen and understanding of international business ethics to work with, and motivate, offshore teams.

You will be a dedicated, hard working professional who has a calm, unflappable approach to work which enables you to be a success when it comes to managing competing priorities and managing the expectations of various stakeholders.

A good understanding of Tax would be helpful in this position as would exposure to the supply chain process.

It is extremely important that you are willing to be hands-on and that you possess strong business partnering skills to liaise with every level of the business.

You always maintain a positive professional attitude, exhibit integrity and reliability, and you have the confidence and business insights to make key decisions.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • CA / CPA qualified essential
  • A Big 4 background is desirable but not essential
  • SAP experience is highly desirable
  • Strong previous experience as a hands-on Financial Controller.
  • Supply chain understanding is highly valued as is exposure to Infrastructure
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to build and deliver effective presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Impressive organisational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines.
