Global Billing Operations as a part of State Street's Finance Division is responsible for end to end client invoicing and reconciliation activities on investment funds. The team provide services for 7 EMEA countries: France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland and the UK.

Your new role

Senior Billing Controls Supervisor will be supporting the Global Billing Operations Out of Pockets (OOP) Monitoring. The Program was designed to provide assurance that billing locations are complying to GBO OOP billing controls.

The OOP Monitoring Program examines the OOP billing process, controls, and supporting documentation to identify any deficiencies in controls and follow standards. The testing conducted will be a combination of both control and substantive testing. Senior Billing Controls Supervisor will also support Billing Team Manager and/or Senior Billing Team Manager in billing process, presentations, process or client service transitions, projects and other assignments related to billing process.

Key responsibilities:

  • Testing the OOP Controls which will include (but not limited to) controls around: OOP Charges are valid per the Fee Schedule, approved OOP charges and methodology defined by Billing Standard, vendor Invoice or data to support charge, the charge has been sent to Accounts Payable and posted to the Invoice correctly
  • Follow test scripts to identify Potential Gaps/ Failures within the GBO (Global Billing Operations) billing processes
  • Evaluate failures and document incident or issue remediation into the incident management tool (ICAMS) for client error correction or issue management tool (Archer). Drafting recommendations.
  • Document and remediate as necessary GBO observations of internal issues which did not cause client impact or operational risk
  • Prepare the reports and present the results from testing to senior management
  • Track / confirm closure of any remediation items identified
  • Metrics Reporting package including pass/fails, issues and remediation items
  • Collecting of Out-of Pockets Certification Of Standards
  • Support in risk and control programs across Billing, including preparation of OOP documentation and controls, Dashboards and reports
  • Assisting in Billing Transformation Program

  • At least 6 years of professional experience in financial accountancy, and/or billing area
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting processes and accounting systems with special focus on billing area
  • Audit / Compliance / Risk and Controls Assessment experience
  • Knowledge of investment banking financial products is an asset
  • Advanced English language skills (B2/C1 level required)
  • Well-developed client relationships building and client service skills
  • Very good numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
