Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant required at a fantastic manufacturing business based in Telford. This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified Accountant with prior experience within a manufacturing environment to join a dynamic company and recognisable brand. This role will support the Finance department in the day to day activities and to assist in the preparation and analysis of management accounting information on a monthly, half yearly, and annual basis.

Key tasks:

- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts to trial balance
- Daily management and control of the cashbooks to bank statements
- Maintain sales ledger & accounts receivable
- Monthly VAT return
- Monthly Intra-stat returns and EU sales list
- Reconciliations and Accruals / Prepayments
- Variance Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of monthly / quarterly / yearly finance pack
- Ad hoc work as requested by the Finance Manager
