Service Care Solutions are working with a busy local authority in the North West of England. They have an initial 6-month project within their finance department for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner. The role will commence as a remote-based role until further notice, and the contract is likely to be extended once its initial period has finished.
Main Points:
Key role requirements will involve:
*Financial modelling - which takes into account rising demand in calculating / projecting savings associated with programmes.
*Technical financial support to programmes - input to development of financial business cases / savings projections.
*Financial assessment of savings proposals to determine whether they are feasible and achievable.
*Financial assessment of savings in the change programme and when they will be achieved.
*Baseline of current budgets as compared to savings proposals.
*Review of budgets/zero basing.
*Validation (or writing of) business cases with benefits validated.
*Support with identifying new areas for savings - benchmarking/what other councils are doing.
*Spend analysis.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working for a Local Authority, although they are willing to consider candidates with other experience.
