We have an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant at our headquarters in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio . The primary function of this role is to directly support accounting and reporting activities for the Autolite and FRAM product lines. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
  • Support accounting functions adhering to US GAAP methodologies
  • Assist with technical accounting for debt refinancing, purchase, business combinations, etc.
  • Responsible for general journal entry preparation and entry
  • Perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to General Ledger management
  • Review of EBITDA add back detail including Trial Balance analysis
  • Manage and review quarterly fixed asset roll forwards
  • Understand and review cash flow analysis
  • Maintain key accounting controls and assist with audit requests
  • Perform analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, and benchmarks
  • Collaboratively interact with accounting team during the cycle of monthly activities
  • Interact with vendor companies for accounts payable management
The ideal candidate will have the following required combination of education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
  • 3–6 years' experience in corporate accounting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply current US GAAP
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel (pivot tables, v–lookups, macros)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work and interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to multi–task and work in a challenging fast–paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated experience working with tight deadlines and adhering to closing calendars
Preferred experience:
  • CPA certification
  • 3–6 years' experience with international accounting
  • Working knowledge of SAP Financial Reporting Modules
  • Comprehensive experience with inter–company entity elimination analysis and management
Job Requirements:
