OverviewWe are looking for a Sales Finance Analyst to partner with the Retail Business Unit (Sales, Marketing and Finance) to provide insightful analysis of business results, perform monthly/annual forecasting and develop best practices for improvement in trade spend management.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in a high energy and fast–paced team environment to provide financial analysis and understand the implications of data and impact on business insights in critical decision–making processes.Analytical SupportPerform trade event ROI on top customer/events and make recommendations based on findingsEvaluate trade investment optionsPartner with the Sales Team to identify and analyze incremental trade spend requests Create customer PPerform SKU rationalization and recommend substitute itemsMonthly / Annual trade spend forecast Receive inputs from Sales, Brand and Finance teamsValidate assumptions, assess risks/opportunities and bridge changes to PY, Plan and prior forecast cycleProvide monthly trade forecast update to Sales, Brand and Finance managementMonth End CloseUtilize trade spending tool to accrue for planned trade spendReconcile prior period trade liability between accrual and actualCreate succinct results recap (by brand and customer)Analyze promotional activity and recommend trade spend allocationERP Implementation Provide comprehensive and effective support to the ERP team as needed through the Trade Promotion Management system implementationPartner with Sales and Finance to revise processes and create training based on new system requirementsQualifications3–5 years of Financial analysis experience required within consumer packaged goodsFunctional experience and a solid understanding of a P ManagementHigh level of proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for automating reporting, processing large volume data and interfacing with corporate reporting systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various levels of the organizationAbility to perform analysis of business information and identify trendsAbility to manage and execute multiple concurrent tasks to meet deadlinesHigh level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of business reportingBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.Strong quantitative and analytical skills required Working Conditions/EnvironmentWorks in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet.
