Responsibilities

Below is a brief overview of the responsabilites of the position.

  • Performs treasury duties including posting cash activity, distributing deposit tickets to clinics, ordering and maintaining employee credit cards, downloading bank statements, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Initiates daily/weekly ACH bank transfers from local bank accounts to main operating account.
  • Maintains fixed asset records, updates depreciation schedules, and reconciles fixed asset records to the general ledger.
  • Maintains real estate and/or personal property tax accruals and reconciles accruals to the general ledger. Prepares personal property tax returns and responds to audit requests and inquiries from taxing authorities.
  • Prepares journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations for monthly close and year-end close, as assigned, to meet assigned closing deadlines.
  • Performs monthly balance sheet reconciliations, maintains and updates accounting records and files.
  • Analyzes budget to actuals reports and trended reports and prepares variance explanations.
  • Prepares audit documents and responds to audit requests as assigned.
  • Interacts with management, operations, and clinic staff in a professional and courteous manner to gather necessary accounting information and respond to information requests.
  • Adheres to objectives, operating policies and procedures, and strategic action plans for achieving goals.
  • Actively recommends new processes and procedures as needed to improve our overall process.

  • Experience Requirements and Preferences:

    • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
    • Advanced Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables required
    • Sage Intacct and Adaptive Insights experience is a plus

    Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
