essential Duties and responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over financial operations' effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
• Develop, implement and maintain financial internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practices
• Identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls
• Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
• Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
• Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.
• Conduct risk-based audits covering finance operational processes.
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
• Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum and presentations to brief senior management

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE requirements

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Ten years proven working experience in internal audit, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience working in an audit capacity for a public accounting firm desired
• Experience working in or auditing in a government contracting environment preferred
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
• Familiarity with CostPoint
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Sound independent judgement
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with senior/executive leadership and owner partners in verbal, written, and presentation forms
• S. citizen capable of obtaining a U.S. government security clearance

• Work is typically based in an office environment and subject to frequent interruptions.
• May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday
