The Finance team is responsible for all aspects of the corporate finance organization, including strategy, implementation, enterprise risk management and internal audit, treasury, tax, procurement and investor relations. These functional areas enable corporate profitability and success by ensuring cost savings and efficiencies, sound reporting of results and accurate forecasts.

Responsibilities

Perspecta is hiring for an entry level Financial Analyst position at our Laurel, Maryland office. The ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance after hire is required for this position. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing multiple financial activities. Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records. Compiles and reviews budgets using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration. Performs multiple financial cost analyzes functions, including cost allocation, setting up cost control systems, collecting data, controlling costs and preparing reports. Ensures that costs are allocated according to established procedures. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- End to end program financial management

- External reporting (monthly customer reports, invoices, ad hoc requests)

- Internal reporting (revenue, profit, cash, programmatics, etc)

- Analysis

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or Information Systems plus 0 to 2 years of financial related experience or High School diploma plus 6 to 8 years of job related experience
  • **Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance after hire**
  • Strong organizational skills are required
