Tax Accountant

Job Description

LaSalle Network has partnered with a local law firm in downtown Chicago looking to hire a Tax Accountant to join their Private Client Services team. This individual will primarily focus on partnership, trust, and high net worth individual tax planning, consulting and compliance matters. This Tax Accountant will work closely with the Partners within the firm and have the opportunity for career advancement.

Tax Accountant Responsibilities:

• Experience with tax compliance and preparation
• Experience with preparation of financial statements
• Partners with other groups and business partners as necessary to achieve desired outcomes
• Identifies and owns process improvements from beginning to end
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, Payroll, Compensation, Risk Management, Tax, Financial Reporting and internal and external auditors

Tax Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required. CPA and/or master's preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience
• CPA highly preferred
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Experience in partnership, individual, and trust tax returns required
