About This Role:

With fast growths across the region and exciting projects to be rolled out in the coming year, we are looking to add dynamic people to our ever-expanding team here in Singapore.

As a Finance Director in Cialfo, you will play a key role in developing and executing the financial plan and strategy of the Cialfo-group; management and cost accounting, budgeting, creating financial processes and implementing internal controls, while assisting the Co-Founders in fund raising efforts, etc, among other important financial management responsibilities.

You will work alongside Co-Founders in managing and responding to the Board of Directors, and current and prospective investors. You are required not just to ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial information prepared by the finance and accounting team, but also help Co-Founders create and communicate financial analysis and key drivers to investors.

You will also be mentored by highly professionally experienced board members to execute the various financial strategies, policies and initiatives.

You will be great at this role if you have/are:

  • Proficiency in developing financial strategies and assisting in addressing financial needs of current and prospective investors
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Singapore accounting standards and practices
  • Proficiency in managing various countries tax requirements (i.e. income and trade related taxes); in particular, US, China, India.
  • Proficiency in managing audit, consolidation and financial planning
  • Diploma/Degree in Finance or Accounting in Singapore
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Organised, detailed and deadline oriented
  • Possess a positive attitude and drive to succeed
  • Financial modelling and Analytics experience


Your Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising & Investor relations
    • Provide support in fundraising and investor relation activities
    • Prepare financial documents for board and shareholder meetings and requirements
    • Perform analytical review on financial report
  • Financial Planning & Strategy
    • Responsible for financial planning and review; including budgeting, variance analysis, and basic treasury planning, etc
    • Preparing forward-looking budgeting scenarios, variance and runway calculations
    • Implement changes, manage continuous process improvement to enhance work efficiency, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise and contribute to the overall business strategy
    • Apply for governmental grants and prepare documentations required to process the claims
    • Do financial modelling required and provide analysis based on available data
    • Ad-hoc duties assigned by management
  • Financial Accounting & Management
    • Oversee and manage the accounting team to establish a good accounting system to provide informative and accurate financial information for timely reporting to management, shareholders and regulatory authorities
    • Responsible for full spectrum of financial and accounting functions of Cialfo and its subsidiaries and ensure proper recording of accounting transactions to meet the reporting timelines
  • Audit, Taxation, Governance & Internal controls
    • Establish and maintain adequate internal control and procedures for financial reporting and to meet relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Responsible for gathering of information requested by internal/external auditors or any regulatory authorities
    • Responsible for approval final computation of payroll (Computation are done by an outsourced agent)
    • Oversee and manage the accounting team to manage the invoice and payment collections process
    • Oversee and manage the accounting team to manage tax provision, tax returns, deferred taxation and GST


Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting, ACCA, or Diploma with strong relevant experience
  • At least 8 years of Finance, Financial Consulting, Financial Management, Group Accounting and/or Audit experience, preferably in a similar industry
  • At least 1 - 2 years of financial management and planning experience in a fast-growing technology company
  • Require minimum supervision
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office (particularly Microsoft Excel) and accounting software (Xero)
  • Experienced and creative in different financing / fund raising structures
  • Experienced in overseeing the preparation of full set of accounts and working experience in Singapore
  • Proficiency in Singapore accounting standards and practices
  • Proficiency in managing various countries tax requirements (i.e. income and trade related taxes); in particular, US, China, India.
  • Proficiency in managing audit, consolidation and financial planning
  • Proficiency in building and/or managing a finance team
  • High attention to detail and accuracy


Cialfo Benefits

  • Expected salary range between SGD9,000 to SGD11,000 per month.
  • ESOP may be offered on discretionary basis
