An opportunity has arisen for a strategic financial leader to join our team and play an instrumental role in helping us achieve our mission to improve the health of women and girls across the globe. You will ensure the financial sustainability of the College, bringing robust day-to-day management of the College's finances and contributing to the commercial development of our business to support the delivery of our strategic ambitions in what is both an exciting and challenging time for the organisation. About us The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is a professional membership association dedicated to improving women's healthcare across the world. We do this by setting standards for clinical practice, providing doctors with training and lifelong learning, and working with partners to advocate for women's health and health care across their life course. About the role Working closely with the Chief Executive and the Executive team, you will provide financial leadership to the College, supporting our strategic direction. You will do this by contributing to the development of our long-term strategy, ensuring the financial sustainability of the College and, through your abilities as a leader, empowering teams to deliver against our corporate goals and objectives. You will lead on the development of teams within the directorate, ensuring high-quality financial services and strategy are delivered and advising the CEO, Board of Trustees, Officers and Executive Director team on financial and resources matters. You will foster a culture of financial responsibility, ensuring value for money and that robust systems of control are in place. In addition to your financial management duties, you will take responsibility for commercial development, overseeing the delivery of growth in existing revenue streams; and for the technology department, ensuring that the College continuously delivers excellent user experience. You will have an excellent grasp of leading customer facing teams. Requirements With substantial experience of leading at senior level in a finance function, and in managing a multi-disciplinary team, you will be either ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIPFA qualified or equivalent with excellent digital skills and in the management of a complex VAT environment.
