Position Title:

Business Analyst - FS
Position Summary:

This role will be a key resource to the business team providing financial analysis and support as the team navigates normal operating rhythms throughout the year.
The Business Analyst will support a range of key objectives - commercial growth, working capital optimization, strategic opportunities, margin analytics, SG&A costs, and the overall profitability of the Formulated Specialties Business including its Segment Organizations (Hard coats, Release Coatings, Electronic Materials, and Elastomers).
Job Description:

  • Provide financial support and analysis to the Formulated Specialties business teams
  • Prepare and analyze monthly reporting of results and ensure communication to key stakeholders
  • Provide support and insights on estimates, annual operating plan, and updates to financial models
  • Support preparation of monthly business reviews, [MBR], helping Finance leader to consolidate and interpret the various inputs around updates and R&O's
  • Support Commercial Finance Leader and Segment leaders with various commercial report, analysis and ad hoc project

Work with Global FP&A and other business teams to drive best practices, efficiencies, and alignment

Additional Details:

Key Metrics Role is Accountable For:Ensure accuracy of the Business Financials. Work closely with business to produce budget & periodic reporting, input and oversight of the estimates as well as financial models to aid senior management in decision making.

Key Relationships:Business Finance Leader, Commercial Finance Leader and Operations Finance Leader for Formulated Specialities

Basic Qualifications:
  • B.Com/M.Com required in finance, accounting, business, or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive Finance experience
  • Critical thinking and strategic mindset
  • Strong Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Modeling Skillset
  • Ability to work with a multicultural team in different time zones
  • Excellent communication skills - demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams in a global environment
  • Fluency in English is required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior Commercial Finance & FP&A experience
  • Experience using the following systems: SAP/Business Warehouse, General ERP systems
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge
