Primary Function of Position:
This role has direct responsibility for the Finance and support functions (IT, Contracts, Facilities) for Intuitive Surgical's Indian operations. Responsibilities include: meeting Intuitive Surgical corporate reporting requirements, statutory and tax filing requirements, financial planning and analysis activities necessary to support the the Indian General Manager and other members of local management.
This position needs to possess the business acumen necessary to support and advise the General Manager in key business areas. This position will also need to collaborate with the various functional areas and provide leadership to the office support functions. This position will need to maintain an appropriate financial and reporting control environment while supporting Indian business activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Support and advise the General Manager in key business areas
• Provide financial analysis, forecasting and necessary budgeting to support the Indian business and the functional organization needs there-in
• Lead Finance and support functions; recruit, develop and mentor direct reports and generally coach the team towards high performance, talent retention, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Oversee the monthly financial close and financial reporting to International office
• Maintain adequate records to comply with timely statutory filing requirements
• Work with International Accounting team located at the International HQ in Switzerland to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
• Work with international and corporate Tax group on tax compliance and other specific tax analyses or matters
• Ensure appropriate level of internal controls and procedures to comply with Corporate requirements, to comply with SOX (Sarbanes Oxley rules in the US), to maintain segregation of duties, to ensure proper authorization of financial activities and to comply with FCPA and UK Bribery Act
• Oversee customs and GST issues to ensure deadlines and compliances are met
• Cash Management & Hedging: Liaise periodically with the Group Treasurer to ensure that cash-flow management remains secured and hedging needs are adequately fed (Cash management is centralized at Corporate in the US)
• Ensure that efficiency and quality guidelines are sustained by outside local accounting/corporate/legal/HR/payroll offices
• Coordinate with statutory auditors
• Lead the Contract and Tender activities both from a day-to-day customer basis but also in proactively addressing any structural or market changes. Partner with Corporate contract team to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
• Work with Corporate and outside Counsel to coordinate legal activities
• Manage payroll activities
• Oversee facilities operations
• Lead all IT-related activities including Infrastructure, Support and Systems while making sure the IT needs of the business and employees are always met. Partner with Corporate IT to make sure all global changes are synchronized accordingly.

Skills / Job Requirements:
• Business school or University degree
• Minimum 12+ years' work experience with at least 5 to 8 years in a similar position within an international organization
• Working knowledge of US and Indian GAAP
• Experience with enterprise systems including Salesforce.com, SAP, Hyperion, Agile a benefit
• Effective financial and business analytical capabilities
• Experience in ongoing management and governance
• Proven experience working in a multi-cultural business environment (Working for US based company a plus)
• Proven track record in leading, motivating and developing a high achieving team in a fast growing organization
• Fluency in English languages (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a growing, fast changing environment while managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and execute
• Experience in the medical device and medical services industry a benefit
• Availability for business travel abroad (including to the US) as required
