Finance Manager - Petworth, West Sussex
Salary - £30k - £45k + Bonus + Healthcare + Pension
The Client
Our client are a highly successful business who owns and manages a collection of vineyards in exceptional locations through Sussex. They are a rapidly expanding business committed to producing the highest-quality English sparkling wines for global distribution. The Finance Managers position is a high profile role which reports to the General Manager and involves direct contact with the company's board of directors.
The Role
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for month-end close process including maintenance of the general ledger, bank reconciliation, and producing financial statements (balance sheets, income statement, cash flow statement)
Prepare and maintain annual budgets and forecasts
Maintain, manage and anaylse production and sales data
Prepare monthly or quarterly management reports including forecasting budget variance, production and sales data
Identify opportunities to introduce, streamline, and improve systems and process efficiency's
Provide analytical support to the executive teams and boards in order to drive strategic and operational decisions
Oversee year-end audit and tax filing
Assist GM on a variety of projects
Previous Knowledge and ExperienceDegree educated (Accounting/Finance or associated subject a plus)
4+ years of experience in an accounting or finance position
Experience in wine business financial or management reporting a strong plus
Excellent accuracy and advanced skills in Microsoft excel
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
The highest standards of professionalism and integrity
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and to tight deadlines
ACCA, CPAA or equivalent a plus
Experience with Sage preferred
