Primary Responsibilities:

* Perform thorough research of monthly revenue and membership fluctuations within the E&I Nat Accts LOB
* Manage monthly accruals by tracking payments and coordinating with Underwriting on any accrual changes
* Review monthly client receivable balances in conjunction with Bad Debt review and DSO calculations
* Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close
* Propose, prepare and upload monthly journal entries in support of monthly GAAP close
* Perform monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations in accordance with Corporate P&P
* Prepare documentation in support of external and internal SOX audits
* Collaborate with our business matrix partners in Billing Operations. Underwriting and FP&A to resolve complex financial issues
* Support company initiatives for BRMS and upcoming Cirrus project

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
* 0–1 year of professional Accounting/Finance experience
* Sound business knowledge and strong decision–making skills
* Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
* Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
* If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group–approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

* Healthcare industry experience, or large company experience
* Hyperion Essbase, SmartView and PeopleSoft experience
* Strong ability to work collaboratively with internal business matrix partners
* Ability to communicate in an effective manner, in person, via email and in online Webex meetings
* Ability to collaborate with peers to share best practices and complete projects
* Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet multiple hard deadlines
* Drive and motivation to deliver high quality results based on thorough analysis
